Voice Memos not saving is usually one of three issues: insufficient storage (check Settings → General → iPhone Storage — Voice Memos shows usage), iCloud sync error (toggle iCloud off and back on for Voice Memos in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud), or a corrupted app state (force-quit Voice Memos and reopen).
If Voice Memos captures feel unreliable: Nemos as an alternative. Nemos stores audio captures locally in the app's own container, independent of iCloud sync state. If iCloud Voice Memos sync is the failure point, switching to Nemos for new captures removes that dependency entirely.
