Where Are iPhone Screenshots Stored on iPhone and Mac

Accessing iPhone Screenshots from Mac
iPhone screenshots don't automatically sync to a folder on Mac. They're in iCloud Photos if photo sync is enabled. Access them at Photos app → Albums → Screenshots.
Via Finder: connect iPhone with a cable → trust the Mac → open Finder (or Image Capture) → DCIM folders contain screenshots mixed with photos.
For Mac users who want iPhone screenshots in a Mac folder: create a Shortcut on iPhone that automatically saves screenshots to a specific iCloud Drive folder that's accessible from Mac. This mirrors every screenshot to a Mac-accessible location.
For knowledge capture purposes: screenshots you want to keep findable can be saved to Nemos on iPhone via the Share Sheet, where they are OCR'd on-device and searchable by the words inside them on iPhone and iPad. There is no Nemos Mac app yet — it is in development — so a Mac still reaches iPhone screenshots through iCloud Photos or the Shortcut above.

Where Nemos fits
Nemos is a private second brain for iPhone that solves the "I saved it somewhere" problem. Every screenshot, voice memo, PDF, and link you save gets OCR'd, transcribed, and indexed on-device using Apple Foundation Models. Find anything by typing one word. Free. Apple-only. Free on the App Store.
