Does Instagram Notify You of Story Screenshots?

How Instagram Story Screenshot Notification Works
Instagram notifies story posters when someone screenshots their story in the Instagram app. This is a server-side check — Instagram detects the screenshot via the iOS screenshot notification API that apps can subscribe to.
Workarounds that have worked historically: airplane mode before viewing (content loads, disconnect, screenshot, reconnect — timing-dependent), screen recording instead of screenshot (Instagram's notification is screenshot-specific, not recording-specific in most versions), or using Instagram web in Safari (some detection doesn't apply to the web version).
For content you want to capture for personal reference (not to share): screenshot from the web version or use screen recording, then share to Nemos immediately. The capture lands in your private library without sharing the content publicly. Nemos stores it on-device without any connection to Instagram.
