Why People Switch from Otter
Otter.ai processes audio on Otter’s servers. For personal voice recordings containing sensitive information (medical conversations, business strategy, personal thoughts), cloud processing creates a data exposure risk. Otter’s privacy policy allows using transcripts to improve their service.

Export Your Otter Data
Otter.ai exports in multiple formats. In Otter: Settings > My Account > Export Account Data. This creates a ZIP with all your transcripts as text files and the original audio files. Titles, dates, and transcript text are preserved. Speaker labels may not transfer to other apps.
