How to Fill Out a PDF Form on iPhone (Free, No App)

iOS Built-In Form Filling
iOS 17+ has AI-assisted PDF form detection in Files app. Open a PDF with a form → iOS identifies fields and makes them tappable. Type into the fields directly. No app required.
For complex forms: Markup (built into Files) also works — tap a text box location, add a text annotation. Not technically "form filling" but achieves the same visual result for printing or sharing.
Third-party option if built-in fails: PDF Expert (paid) and Adobe Acrobat (free tier) handle edge cases the built-in app misses.
After completing a form: share the filled PDF to Nemos with context. "W-9 form completed for Brainchild Co contract — sent to Marcus 2026-03-15." Searchable later when you need to verify what was submitted, find the completed version, or check submission dates.

Where Nemos fits
Nemos is a private second brain for iPhone that solves the "I saved it somewhere" problem. Every screenshot, voice memo, PDF, and link you save gets OCR'd, transcribed, and indexed on-device using Apple Foundation Models. Find anything by typing one word. Free. Apple-only. Free on the App Store.
