How to Bookmark a Tweet on iPhone (Save Without Liking)

By ··5 min read

Twitter Bookmarks vs Your Own Library

Twitter's native bookmark feature saves tweets inside Twitter. The saved tweets are: platform-dependent (Twitter changes or removes them), algorithm-filtered (Twitter shows bookmarks in reverse chronological order, no topic organization), and inaccessible if your account is suspended or you delete the app.

Better capture for tweets worth keeping: screenshot the tweet and share to Nemos. The screenshot is yours, stored on-device, searchable by the tweet text via OCR, permanent regardless of platform decisions.

For threads: screenshot each tweet in the thread, capture to Nemos as a group with a voice note summarizing the key arguments. The summary is often more useful than re-reading the screenshots.

Twitter bookmarks are fine for temporary saves you'll read within 48 hours. For anything you want to reference again in 6 months, capture to Nemos.

Where Nemos fits

Nemos is a private second brain for iPhone that solves the "I saved it somewhere" problem. Every screenshot, voice memo, PDF, and link you save gets OCR'd, transcribed, and indexed on-device using Apple Foundation Models. Find anything by typing one word. Free. Apple-only. Free on the App Store.
